My Mission as a Therapist and Pastoral Counselor
The spirituality of Jesus Christ is a way of life based on faith, hope and love which confers on all believers an authentic freedom and sacred dignity. It promotes a closer relationship with God, other human persons, and the universe which He created for all human beings who are the crown of His creation. The spirituality of Jesus opens the way to a deeper understanding of the Triune God: the Father as the creator and sustainer of everything; Jesus His Son who became a man, lived among us, rejected the wickedness of Satan, died to redeem us from our sinfulness, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and the Holy Spirit sent by the Father to help us strive for human perfection during our lifetime on earth and become saints of the church.

Jesus promised us that He will come again to embrace those persons who accept Him as their Lord and Savior. The spirituality of Jesus teaches that all persons are created in the image and likeness of God and everyone has both the dignity and unique honor to be called a child of God. Where there is truth, justice, dedication, service, compassion, reconciliation and forgiveness, there, we find the spirituality of Jesus at work. The Holy Bible sets forth in detail the spirituality of Jesus.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 25 years experience as a pastoral counselor, I am convinced that the spirituality of Jesus can be a great means for experiencing life more fully in body, mind, and spirit. A person who has Jesus as his/her precious mentor in life’s journey, will discover greater purpose and meaning as a single individual, spouse, parent /grandparent, and partner with others in Christ’s own church and community organizations.

Simply put, my chosen role as a marriage and family therapist, and spiritual counselor, is help individuals, families, and communities find their way to Jesus.
My Own Spirituality: Simplified
The spirituality that I bring to marriage and family therapy is simplified and expressed in the following twelve tenets.
-
As a marriage and family therapist my central purpose is to bring people to Jesus who showed us a loving Father and a constant companion in the Holy Spirit. I am only a conduit of Jesus and His message. He reaches out to all people. He loves all people with an everlasting love. He lived with us human here on earth and just like all of us went through all the human experiences and emerged from the grave victorious. He is our bread, light, shepherd, door, way, truth, life, true vine, grace and resurrection.
-
If a human being yearns to love someone, go to Jesus.
-
If a human being longs to hope in someone, go to Jesus.
-
If a person needs meaning, purpose, and mission in life, go to Jesus.
-
If a person is searching for an understanding of pain, suffering, and death, go to Jesus.
-
Jesus is the head, and all who believe in Him are members of His body.
-
Jesus is the best therapist the world has ever known. Consider how he healed the Samaritan woman and the woman caught in adultery.
-
Jesus is the best communicator the world has ever known. Look to his teaching of the eight beatitudes.
-
Jesus is the best friend the world has ever known. Recall His promise to the thief crucified on His right side.
-
Jesus reaches out for a relationship with everyone that is personal, deep, and long-lasting. A relationship in which each of us loves God with all our hearts and our brothers and sisters no less than we love ourselves.
-
Jesus was born in a manger and died on the wooden cross , to affirm that He came to save all of us, the least among us no less than the mightiest.
-
Jesus sees every one of us as human beings who need His help to become the humans persons the Father created in His image and likeness, intended us to be.
